Childcare from a Live-In Au Pair
An au pair is a young adult from another country who lives with your family and provides in-home childcare. Au pairs work up to 35 hours per week in exchange for the opportunity to live with an Australian family. Because au pairs offer live-in childcare, they have more flexibility and can care for your children at the times that accommodate your family's schedule.
While all our au pairs have childcare experience, speak conversational English, have completed a secondary education and are between 18 to 26 years old, the diversity of our au pairs is immense. Families can select from au pairs based on nationality, language, age, driving skills, gender and swimming ability. We are committed to finding the right au pair match for your family.
About Us - OZ Aupair Australia will assist with the au pair selection process, sponsor a visa and handle travel arrangements for your au pair, and provide local support throughout the program. The director of the business, Anabel Rosas, has been an au pair herself during her travels when she was 25 years old. In the last 5 years, Anabel and her partner have received more than 7 homestay students from America, and Europe in their home.
A lot of girls coming to Australia who want to experience the family environment as their accommodation option, not all could afford the high average homestay fee (AU$200 per week). This space in the market created an opportunity to offer a new type of accommodation called “au pair accommodation”. Our au pair accommodation has a fee equivalent to less than half of the homestay fee and in exchange for the low fee amount au pairs help the family with light house work and if needed give help with the children for a few hours a day.
We understand the value of cross cultural experiences and understand that many families in Australia need help with their children and also managing light house work in their daily routines.
