1- Choose a Program. Click here to choose from our 3 programs

2- Review the information on Requirements to become an Au pair section, you may call our partner agency in France if you have questions about the process or your application.

3) The Application
Click here to fill out the online application
Once your application has been received our office will get in touch to arrange a suitable time and date for your face-to-face Skype interview.

4) The interview:
Have a telephone or Skype interview with our au pair team member
Interviews take place throughout the year, so you can apply whenever suits you and is a great opportunity for us to to find out about you and gain an understanding of what type of placement you are looking for. It’s also a great opportunity for you to talk to someone face-to-face and get all of your questions, worries and concerns answered on the spot.

5) Build your Profile. You will be required to add photos to your profile, write a letter introducing yourself to potential host families. It is important for us to make sure your application is a true representation of who you are, highlighting not only your childcare experience but also your personality – including your likes & dislikes, hobbies & interests. After all we want to make sure we find not only the right person for the job, BUT also the right family for you! You will also be required to provide 3 written references (1 of which must be a child care reference) and submit our medical form which needs to have been completed by your local GP.

Once you have been accepted onto the programme and your profile is complete, our Sydney team will work hard to find you your perfect host family. Our Sydney team will then create an online profile for you which will be entered into our fantastic online matching system and show off all your skills and experience. Whilst many of our families rely on our Sydney team to find them a suitable Au Pair, some prefer to log into our online system and select an Au Pair for themselves. Whichever way you are matched, the families will want to speak to you either on the phone or more commonly on Skype to ensure you are a good match for each other. Some matches will happen after one conversation, whilst others may take a bit of time. Either way you will have quite a bit of contact with your host family before you depart, so you will know exactly what to expect when you arrive!

4) Prepare and email us the information we need to introduce you to a family + pay your program fee. The program fee is refundable if we do not offer you an appropriate family interview within three months from receiving your documentation and program fee.

7) The Match with a screened host family of your choice. Once your profile is complete our host families will be able to view your application and request an interview with you. The families will want to speak to you either on the phone or more commonly on Skype to ensure you are a good match for each other. If you like the family and they like you, your placement could be confirmed after just one conversation.

8) Once a match is made, you can book your flights and travel insurance and apply for your visa**
